I agree...I love the fact that John writes these things to help prevent sin in our lives. I also love the fact that he is totally real and says that if we do sin, it is wonderful to know we have Jesus Christ as our advocate. Christ died for ALL sin! Thank you Lord for my salvation!
I have heard this verse before, but It struck me today that if we are walking in darkness we not only have broken fellowship with our Lord and Savior, but we have broken fellowship with one another as well.
Vrs.7. "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,"
That is so true...when you are backslidded or know of others who are, the last thing they (or we) want to do is have fellowship with our Lord or our other Brothers and Sisters in Christ. It truly effects every aspect of your life!
Hey girlie's...I am Janell and we are expecting our second sweet little one on August 8th 2009. I am 9 weeks along and we are really excited! I have been soooo sick and extremely tired this time around. No joke...I am sleeping about 10 hrs a night and 5 hrs (2 naps) during the day! It's CRAZY!!!

I just had to dive into it tonight girls! I have had pretty icky morning sickness and I figured I would get it read when I was feeling half way decent!
I LOVED the fact that in (1 John 1:3) John was not only wanting to PROCLAIM Christ to those who didn't know Him, but also to bind those who receive it. "So you too may have fellowship with us" And not just relationship with other believers but ultimately a wonderful relationship with the Father and His Son! I also loved the fact that these "letter/sermons" were a result from the commision he and the other apostles received in Acts 1:8.
I can't wait to read on and learn more about what John had to say. I have never studies 1 John before. Thanks for the challenge Sarah!
